At VRoom STudio, we're on a mission to create unique 6DoF VR experiences that blend graphic storytelling, spatial sound, animation & interactive gameplay using touch, gestures & gaze initiation, designed for multiple VR platforms & beyond.
With a long history in animation production & immersive installations, we bring a rich experience of moving image in all of it's glorious shapes, forms, colours & styles. It's the language of symbols which our brains intuitively understand. Animation is a potent medium, penetrating deeply with high retention of information. VR further amplifies this natural dreamlike tendency for graphic symbols to communicate directly with our inner selves, heightening our analytical & emotional responses.

PROMENADE
Entering a new world of post-cinematic playable narrative, we're on a mission to bring public audiences next level immersion.
PROMENADE was created for the Meta Quest platform as a fully immersive VR narrative history of contemporary artist Mike Hatjoullis. Using his own iconic black & white psycho-geographical lino print work as a basis for designing a world, the team created a series of interactive scenes, blending personal archive & 16mm film footage from the British Film institute with animation, playable elements & A.I processed imagery. Emotive, ambisonic audio & music help transport the viewer into the story & into history.


6 DoF touchable Virtual Reality
We believe that 6 degrees of freedom is one of the best ways to experience VR. Having a full range of natural human movement opens up possibilities to be yourself & act naturally when exploring worlds. Being there & free to explore, helps the audience engage with the narrative on a deeper level.
The experience was specifically designed for novice users of all ages. This helped guide the scene design, level of interaction & pace of delivery of the story.
PROMENADE was made in collaboration with StoryFutures, Royal Holloway University, The BFI & BBC as part of Unboxed Festival for the award winning StoryTrails strand, supported by AHRC.

PROMENADE was critically well received with high audience ratings, touring around 15 UK cities & showing at BFI, IMAX, Waterloo. PROMENADE was also selected to show as part of Storyfutures Experiences at selected venues around the UK. Storyfutures Experiences has been warmly received by cinema audiences & has been extended. It now runs through 2024-2025 at selected venues & libraries around the country.

Last Ambassador
Last Ambassador is a long form narrative VR game concept, aimed at next generation headsets. It's a highly stylised, midcore, hybrid genre, cinematic, sci-fi puzzle adventure where you play in the first person on a quest to save humanity, while uncovering your own secret identity. Journey through the solar system towards your destiny in a series of elegantly constrained playpens, with state of the art spatial audio, exciting music score, hand / eye-tracking & NPC interactions designed to make you feel like you're the hero.
Developed in partnership with XR thought leaders Brightblack, ScreenSouth & funded by the BFI, Last Ambassador has been conceived as a VR native game & is currently seeking a publisher / IP deal. The IP was developed to be exploited through the vertical media stack.
