VRoom-STudio is a new XR venture from the Creative Director & Co-founder of pioneering animation company Shroom.

Christos Richard Hatjoullis - aka OUTERGROUND is an electronic artist, director / producer in animation, music, broadcast, film. & live events. As a committed futurist & tech enabled creative, Christos has always possessed a curious interest in immersive technologies & experiences.

He was captivated by the enormous potential of VR after being commissioned to create a standalone 6DoF piece for the Meta Quest platform.

A process he describes as 'kid in sweet shop' territory.

VRoom-STudio is currently in development with several VR projects, collaborating to produce transmedia installations that include a combination of VR headset, physical projections & spatial audio.

Christos recently concluded an exciting national development scheme: DEVELOP CREATE XR - hosted by ScreenSouth, funded by the BFI & run by XR thought leaders BRiGHTBLACK

Often collaborating with experimental work & actively crossing the boundaries that intersect disciplines, we strive to break new ground, cross pollinating ideas from one discipline to another.

We like to play games & always try to have fun when making new work. Play is important. It's often where the best ideas emerge from. We connect with the big kids inside of us all.
